•You MUST be at least 16 years of age to audition.
•Bring a current head shot and resume, stapled together.
•All performers should be prepared to stay until the audition is completed.
•Bring appropriate dance attire.
•Be ready to show off your personality and ability to interact with an audience.
SINGERS:
•Please prepare two selections (no longer than 16 bars each) which display versatility. Bring sheet music in the proper key for the accompanist. Please select upbeat, positive music. You may be asked to dance.
DANCERS:
•Will learn a short combination taught by our staff choreographer. You may be asked to sing.
MUSICIANS:
•Please prepare two selections of contrasting styles, which demonstrate your versatility. Singing and/or sight-reading may be requested. Be prepared to tell a joke or short story to show off your personality. Instruments other than piano not provided.
A CAPPELLA SINGERS:
•Be prepared to harmonize and sight read. You will be asked to improvise.
STUNT PERFORMERS:
•Please prepare a brief stunt combination to show off your ability (tumbling a plus). You may be asked to read.
SPECIALTY PERFORMERS:
•Please prepare a brief portion of your act, no longer than three minutes in length.
COSTUMED CHARACTERS:
•Interviews will be conducted during auditions. You may be asked to learn a short movement combination.
TECHNICIANS/STAGE MANAGERS:
•Please bring resume, interviews will be conducted during auditions.
IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND:
Video Submission Deadline is March 31, 2010. Please include one vocal selection that showcases you best; movement or dance combinations to demonstrate physical skills; and any performance clips that showcase talents along with stage presence.
